[03:52:44] <halibut> Sounds like there are easier configurations being discussed, but for what it is worth, I also use bind for something like that. The DHCP client triggers a script called resolvconf, which writes to a file that bind reads, and then restarts bind.
[03:53:19] <halibut> It's a little convoluted, and if I had been writing the scripts myself, I would have made it simpler, but most of that is built-in to the Gentoo system, so all it took to set it up was to modify a few configuration files.
[08:31:12] <Ingar> https://soylentnews.org why is there a link to https://soylentnews.org ?
[09:54:02] <janrinok> I cannot see the same page as you - where exactly is the link appearing?
[11:53:38] <fab23> Ingar: I have seen similar things occasionally, did you check out something in hubie's profile?
[12:33:30] <janrinok> It will show the user whose page in a journal or whatever that you were last looking at, hence my question.
[13:17:41] <Ingar> I was last looking at my own journal
[13:18:14] <Ingar> indeed it is gone now
[13:18:19] <Ingar> a bit annoying and confusing
[13:18:33] <Ingar> but nothing I'll be losing sleep over
[13:23:14] <janrinok> Ingar, when you go to your own journal page. it will show the user link to the owner of the last journal you were reading. It is intended to make it easier to switch back and forth but I don't think many people use it, or are even aware of it.
[13:35:05] <fab23> I guess most are just confused, Ingar is not the first one mention this here.
[14:33:27] <Ingar> so, it's a bad navigation hack
[14:33:29] <Ingar> :)
[14:33:44] <Ingar> I honestly thought it was a bug
[14:40:49] <fab23> its a feature bug :)
[14:50:20] <fab23> just got an "Error 503 Backend fetch failed"
[14:51:12] <fab23> second try worked, but took long to load
[14:53:03] <fab23> and 3rd click gave me again 503
[14:54:48] <janrinok> Yep, I'm getting them too. Looks like a crash is coming up ....
[16:28:43] <Ingar> It wasn't me!
[19:11:34] -!- inz has quit [Ping timeout: 265 seconds]
[19:13:31] -!- inz [inz!~inz@wbi.fi] has joined #soylent
[21:48:48] <chromas> it was the hairy one
