[10:55:42] -!- AlwaysNever [AlwaysNever!~donaldo@315.38.1.669.dynamic.jazztel.es] has joined #soylent
[10:56:59] <AlwaysNever> I get disconnected from the IRC regularly, last time was "03:14 ## Connection closed from irc.soylentnews.org: Connection reset by peer" (time stamp is UTC+2)
[12:48:35] <Ingar> Evil Peer
[12:49:03] <Ingar> might be your ISP sending spurious RST packets
[12:49:24] <Ingar> I know mine does
[12:49:31] <Ingar> or at least, used to
[12:50:30] <Ingar> AlwaysNever: about the DNS, I only need a zone for internal use. my public domaines are managed by the hosting company
[13:23:06] <fab23> AlwaysNever: I also lost connection to SN IRC last night.
[13:49:21] <AlwaysNever> if your DNS is for internal user and you what dynamic updates, by far the easiest solution is "dnsmasq"
[13:49:28] <AlwaysNever> *internal use
[13:49:36] <AlwaysNever> *you want
[14:08:45] -!- ted-ious has quit [Quit: IRCNow and Forever!]
[16:39:17] <Ingar> does dnsmasq support a real zone file with PTR records and all that ?
[16:49:19] <fab23> With a proper bind setup you also need to have the two zones ingar.int and e.g. 1.168.192.in-addr.arpa zones, but I have nevery played with dnsmasq.
[16:49:32] <fab23> may do some magic as it does everything anyway :)
[17:07:44] <AlwaysNever> Ingar: dnsmasq does not use a BIND-style zone file, but it supports PTR records though
[17:20:12] <Ingar> fab23: I remember ;-)
[17:20:32] <Ingar> I had the dhcpd + bind with dynamic updates setup
[17:22:44] <Ingar> I think if ubound supports what I need, that would be the best solution, then I wouldn't need a separate pihole
[17:24:02] <Ingar> *unbound
[17:31:40] <Ingar> it just might
