[17:45:47] <Ingar> in my case, I ran FreeBSD on my first home router for the sheer fun of using a different system
[17:46:53] <Ingar> it was rock stable, the concept of a the base system is appealing and the handbook was good
[17:47:46] <Ingar> currently, my reason is not to have all critical network components having the same vulnerabilities
[17:48:31] <Ingar> *my secondaire objective is to setup a linux container server :)
[17:50:02] <Ingar> but to be fair, in all my real life I met exactly one person who used freebsd as daily desktop driver
[18:08:51] <AlwaysNever> Yeah, I too only once met a person running FreeBSD as his main computer; currently the only good thing I see in it is being SystemD-free, and keeping basic system utils like "last" and "lastb" alive.

[22:02:18] <fab23> AlwaysNever: Kernel and Base OS from one source and not a patchwork as all this distributions around the Linux kernel are.
