[00:46:59] <halibut> Interesting, but suspicious. It involves some mechanism too complicated to explain, but related to planets, but not capable of being assigned a precise period, which is 1.723 years ...
[00:47:07] <halibut> I think I am missing something.

[03:58:40] <halibut> I realize I am missing some important context, but without that context, my take of that video is Gen X is coming out of retirement to burn smiley faces on their arms with lighters until people stop eating sour candy on TikTok, and then they will go back to sleep.
[04:04:06] <halibut> I guess maybe Gen X was not completing a communications degree while they were burning themselves?
[04:43:20] <chromas> hey now don't forget the cutting too

[08:38:02] <Ingar> Gen X - The Truth is Out There
[08:44:49] <c0lo> I want to believe you, Ingar
[09:03:17] <Ingar> I was looking for a wittty
[09:03:37] <Ingar> c0lo: *I was looking for a wittty reply, but then I realied I never played the X-files theme on piano
[09:06:04] <Ingar> figuring it out sounds like a worthy endeavour for today
[09:31:27] <c0lo> Does it rain or were you grounded, Ingar? I mean, the heat must be over, weather still nice. Maybe get that piano outside. Or, at least, try to.
[09:46:54] <Ingar> c0lo: I have some inside the house stuff to do

[09:52:22] <janrinok> c0lo, If it is a genuine piano I wouldn't even attempt to try to move one without a team a helpers. I was once asked to help someone move a piano but in the end we couldn't find a way out of the room! I can only suppose somebody built part of the door/wall after the piano was positioned, or it was assembled from parts by the manufacturers when it was delivered.
[10:05:03] <chromas> Most likely it came from above, during some tragically hilarious high jinks
[10:27:09] <Ingar> I have a digital piano I can carry on my own :)
[10:27:32] <Ingar> I also have a cabinet piano, it's broken and I'm afraid it happened during the last move
[10:28:03] <Ingar> fun fact: when I moved the piano into my previous house, I asked a few broad-chested friends to move it
[10:28:21] <Ingar> the next time I had hired goons
[10:28:36] <Ingar> I will never let friends suffer that much again
[10:29:05] <Ingar> s/cabinet piano/upright piano/
[10:29:56] <Ingar> I have a cabinet piano with a broken frame, a digital piano with a broken key, and a stage piano that works :)

[11:12:26] <Ingar> sneaky, I hold a monologue and c0lo tunes out
[11:14:17] <c0lo> I have troubles w/ my router or my Internet connection. Or maybe the WiFI junk of my laptop. Apologies for that, Sunday evening is not a good time for digging after the real cause.
[11:15:03] <Ingar> c0lo: my internet has been shit for a while now
[11:15:16] <Ingar> I suspect my ISP is tuning the great firewall
[11:15:51] <Ingar> downloading arch linux packages at 100Kb/sec D:
[11:16:31] <c0lo> Is the broken key in the digital piano required for the XFiles tune? If so, try the Twin Peaks one.
[11:17:13] <c0lo> "100Kb/sec" ouch. My condolences.
[11:38:07] <c0lo> janrinok, I'm well aware, there are specialized mover for pianos. For more than a century, https://www.youtube.com

[11:59:47] <chromas> Whew, I'm glad she told us it was viral, otherwise we would have never heard of it
[12:01:15] <ted-ious> LOL
[12:01:40] <ted-ious> The propaganda writers get lazier every day. :)
[12:02:50] <c0lo> I must have been vaccinated somehow, didn't got the virus over this weekend. Been busy making kimchi

[12:22:16] <c0lo> I'm more interested of Ukraine/Russia/NATO than US nowadays, Kirk's assassination is inconsequential for the world

[12:27:18] <Ingar> the must interesting hypothesis I heard is that Putin isn't "testing NATO", he's just keeping them occupied with bullshit to divert NATO material from the frontline towards defence
[12:27:39] <Ingar> so far it seems to work fine
[12:28:21] <c0lo> "he's just keeping them occupied with bullshit to divert NATO material from the frontline towards defence" tru dat
[12:28:59] <c0lo> Putin will get some 2-3 mo out of it. Gonna backfire tho'.
[12:31:18] <c0lo> 1. EU will learn w/ Ukrainian teachers
[12:31:18] <c0lo> 2. the "interceptor drones" are cheap to manufacture, easy fit to distributed scale-up
[12:32:43] <c0lo> Training drone operator takes a while, but Eu should have enough gamers to start with.
