[06:41:39] <GrandFireWizard> I am trying to imagine how to reticulate ... brown chunks.. in a cup..
[06:41:44] <GrandFireWizard> woohoo
[06:41:44] <Cascade> Thems the stronk magnets.
[06:41:52] <GrandFireWizard> like you would not believe
[06:42:17] <Cascade> I think you just have to align the bits.
[06:42:26] <Cascade> Use the magnets.
[06:42:37] <GrandFireWizard> are they good enough to code the bits straight onto the disk?
[06:43:01] <Cascade> For very large bits, probably.
[06:43:19] <janrinok> sry - I was just back-reading to see what I had missed. Not a lot, apparently!
[06:43:37] <GrandFireWizard> ... is that like counting 2 + 2 = 5 .. for very large values of 2?
[06:43:47] <janrinok> ... or small values of 5
[06:44:08] <Cascade> Or overloaded values of +
[06:44:33] <janrinok> brb - nurse has arrived
[06:49:50] <GrandFireWizard> ... nurse...?
[06:50:01] <GrandFireWizard> bucks party, or just treating yourself on the weekend?
[06:52:26] <janrinok> nah - unfortunately my wife is now handicapped and I am her full-time carer. She gets visits from a nurse twice a day.
[06:53:56] <janrinok> but we don't get offended by jokes or banter - so if you have any new ones fire away!
[06:55:08] <Cascade> Is there a list so we can compare notes?
[06:56:07] <janrinok> in France - where I am resident - a lot of care is done in the home rather than in a hospital (which would tie up valuable resources) or in a full-time nursing home. We prefer to stay together, although I will confess to sometimes being very tired as a result.
[06:58:17] <janrinok> I did toy with asking the younger nurse to wear the 'typical' male view of a nurse's outfit, but she said she would only if all the other nurses in the team did the same. As one is male and another two are in their late 50s or early 60s I decided to withdraw the suggestion. My wife suggested that we just let the male nurse where the full nursing scrubs...
[06:58:55] <janrinok> wear* - too early in the morning for my brain to work!
[06:58:59] <Cascade> Sounds like you missed out on a good time.
[06:59:09] <janrinok> prolly!
[07:00:18] <janrinok> are you two both Europe based or just poor sleepers?
[07:01:38] <Cascade> Merica here. It's only midnight though. Only about 3.5 hours until it switches from late to early.

[16:49:26] <AndyTheAbsurd> (On the truck, I usually at least make an attempt at it...the last thing, I tried, though: trying to get to the wiper fluid pump on a Ford Ranger is a bitch and a half, so I passed it off to the professionals, because, well, fuck that.)
[16:51:55] <TheMightyBuzzard> if i don't have to pull the engine or transmission AND i can diagnose it, i do it myself. if nothing else it's an excuse to buy tools i don't have yet.
[16:53:33] <TheMightyBuzzard> mind you, some things i just don't think are worth fixing

[17:10:13] <pinchy> thats absurd!
[17:13:03] <Bytram> FWIW, I learned to drive on a WWII Willy's Jeep. Just an inline 4 cylinder, 3 speed stick, and a transfer case for putting it in high/low range and/or engaging 4WD. Had to go out and flip two thingy's on the front hubs, first, before it would go into 4WD.
[17:16:02] <Bytram> Drove stick for many years. Taught myself how to double-clutch and down shift to use the engine for braking. Had a GEO Tracker that, when at 98K miles started hearing squeels from the front, found out the front brakes were gone... AND, that the rear brakes were basically brand new. Seems they were mis-calibrated at the factory. So never got used. Yep, 98K miles on *just* the front brakes. =)

[19:21:56] <Soybull> but I never saw any difference between the two

[22:18:14] <FatPhil> Oh, Arsenal playing at home?
[22:18:19] <FatPhil> Got the decorators in.
[22:22:50] <FatPhil> I remember 20-30 years back some TV show (consumer rights oriented probably) organised a competition to create a "more realistic" female sanitary products advert. All I remember was that the winner was basically some kind of over-the-top slasher version of /The Shining/. Fucking hilarious, beautifully done.

[23:38:01] <AndyTheAbsurd> AzumaHazuki: I've had a straight male friend ask "Ever taken a shit so large that it makes you question your sexuality?"
[23:38:08] <AndyTheAbsurd> Which made a bunch of us crack up.
[23:38:15] <AzumaHazuki> LOL
[23:38:45] <AzumaHazuki> i think i read somewhere only one in three gay guys do anal though...and one in two straight women do
[23:40:57] <AndyTheAbsurd> My wife's initial reaction to the idea of anal was "isn't that gonna hurt?"...the last time we went that way before she passed away, it was "fuck my ass harder!"
[23:41:39] <AzumaHazuki> that hole is exit-only for me @_@
[23:41:53] <AndyTheAbsurd> your body, your choice.
[23:51:35] <TheMightyBuzzard> AzumaHazuki, no but i finally conquered my toilet last week after five years of trying.
[23:52:05] <AzumaHazuki> you've been full of shit for half a decade? somehow i can't make myself act surprised
[23:52:45] <TheMightyBuzzard> nah, just a day. it took a lot of work and an entire pizza just for lunch.
